Agatha Christie is the world’s bestseller of all time. And reading this book will tell you why. I still remember when I read this book for the first time; I had Goosebumps.

It’s one of those stories where you’ll keep guessing what’s gonna happen next but the story will take a completely unexpected turn. Every character has its personality and behavior and a certain way in which they interact with others.

It would be a great novel to begin your journey with and trust me you are gonna love it.

The White Tiger

The white tiger is the debut novel by Arvind Adiga and he won a booker prize for it in the same year (2008).

This book will force you to question your reality and to think about what’s happening in our society. It’ll make you uncomfortable and will force you to think about the line that separates good from the bad.

I remember when I finished this book, I was speechless. It was hard to tell I was happy or sad with the way it ended. I could not stop talking about it. Definitely, one of the best novels from India.

R.J Palacio’s debut novel, Wonder, has been on New York Times Bestseller since 2012.

The story is about a young boy, Auggie(August), who is suffering from a medical condition known as Treacher Collins syndromewhich has left his face disfigured. The story starts with these words

“You could say I’m just like any normal kid. I have a family, I have a computer, I have an Xbox”
“My name is August. I won’t describe what I look like. Whatever you’re thinking, it’s probably worse”

It’s a heartwarming story of Auggie and people that are close to him that will make you happy and teach you the values of empathy, acceptance, compassion, and kindness.

Maybe Someday

To all my hopeless romantic friends out there. This is one of the best romance books I’ve ever read. It’s not your typical romance trust me. It’s a deeply passionate love story that will make your heartbreak.

Written by Colleen Hoover the book was published in March 2014.

The story is about a girl, Sydney. She lives with her boyfriend and best friend. And she loves to hear her neighbor play music on his guitar every day on his balcony.
Her life turns upside down when she finds that her boyfriend is cheating on her and that’s when her neighbor, Ridge, comes to help her.

The book has some really good music that you can listen to while reading. Griffin Peterson did the composition. The songs are available on YouTube.
This book will force you to fall in love.

The girl on the Train

Written by Paula Hawkins, The girl on the train was a New York Times bestseller in 2015.
It’s a psychological thriller that will leave you questioning the things that are happening. It will become quite difficult to differentiate between what’s actually happening and what’s not.
The story is a first-person narrative, which has told the story from the point of view of three women: Rachel Watson, Anna Boyd, and Meghan Hipwell.
The book has also been adapted into a featured film starring Emily Blunt, Haley Bennett, and Rebecca Ferguson.
